Leaders of the Police General Department under the Ministry of Public Security on July 26th directed the Police Department for Investment of Drug-related Crimes (C47) to further investigate a drug trafficking and transport ring from Van Ho district of Son La province to Hanoi, Lang Son and sent to China for consumption with large volume concealed, transported by industrial gas tanks.

Major General Nguyen Anh Tuan, C47 Head, directly controlls the investigation.
Nguyen Quoc Hung, 32, from Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province is defined as ring leader.
Hung has a relation with transnational lines and he now owns a restaurant and karaoke in Bac Tu Liem district, Hanoi.
Over a time of following, the police arrested six people were trading drugs near Phu Dong bridge in Co Bi commune, Gia Lam district, Hanoi, including Nguyen Quoc Hung; Nguyen Hoang Quan (28 years old) from Can Tho city’s Binh Thuy district; Nghiem Quoc Dung, 30, from Hanoi’s Ba Dinh district; Nguyen Van Tuyen, 44, from Hung Yen province’s Khoai Chau district; Dam Viet Thang, 48; and Loc Minh Duc, 37, both from Lang Son province’s Van Lang district.
Checking Tuyen’s truck, the police seized a green industrial gas tank, containing 170 cakes of heroin.
Urgently checking a three-floor house rent by Nguyen Quoc Hung, the police seized two pink industrial gas tanks, containing 320 cakes of heroin, two K59 guns, a canister round for K59 gun and a cartridge belt for AR15 guns.
General Tran Dai Quang, Politburo member, Minister of the Public Security sent a letter to praise units of C47, units of General Department of Security, Hoa Binh police, Hanoi police, Department of Drug-related Crimes Prevention and Control under the High Command of the Vietnam Coast Guard and units of the Ministry of National Defense./.
