Malaysia attaches great importance to corruption prevention cooperation with Vietnam

Vietnamese Government Deputy Inspector General Nguyen Duc Hanh on October 10^th received a delegation from the Malaysian Committee on Corruption Prevention led by Sazali Bin Salbi, Deputy Head of the Committee’s Investigation Department, in which the two agencies exchanged experience in corruption prevention.

During the meeting, Vietnamese Government Deputy Inspector General Nguyen Duc Hanh stressed that the Government of Vietnam attached great importance to carrying out inspection work, addressing complaints and denunciations, and fighting corruption, considering them key priorities to ensure the building of a law regulated socialist State.

Since the Vietnamese Government Inspectorate and the Malaysian Committee on Corruption Prevention signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation in corruption prevention in April 2010, the two sides have conducted visits and discussions to exchange information and learn from each other's experience, according to Mr. Hanh.

Mr. Hanh added that the visit would help the two sides study the structure, organization and factual lessons of investigating corruption in each country.

Mr. Salali Bin Salbi expressed his hope that the two sides would increase cooperation in corruption prevention. “The Malaysian Committee on Corruption Prevention attaches great importance to increasing cooperation with Vietnam, and is willing to share experience in corruption prevention,” he said./.
