The ministry said about 60 percent of lychees, or 120,000 tonnes will be consumed domestically, while the remaining 80,000 tonnes, including 85 percent of fresh fruits and 15 percent of dried and frozen fruits, are for exports.

The ministry will promote domestic lychee consumption, especially in the south which accounts for 43 percent of the total output.

For export markets, apart from China, the ministry targets to export to Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, the US, Australia, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Europe.

Its price is expected to be the same as that in 2014./.
