Mr. Lai Xuan Mon, Standing Deputy Chairman of Vietnam Farmers Union was elected to be the Secretary of Party Executive Committee of Vietnam Farmers Union (2015 - 2020 term) in the eighth Party Committee Congress of the union.

The congress was directed by Mr. Pham Quang Thao, Deputy Party Secretary of Central Agencies and participated by 120 delegates as representative of nearly 280 party members of the Party Committee.

18 members were elected for Party Executive Committee of the union in the 2015 - 2020 term.

The Congress reviewed and evaluated the results of implementation of Party Committee Congress resolution in the 2010- 2015 term and analyzed the limitations and reasons to define the targets, missions, orientation and solutions for the 2015-2020 terms.

Through reports submitted to the Party Committee Congress of the central units; a new Executive Committee and delegates attending the Superior Party Congress were elected.

The implementation of political tasks and Party building work in the coming term was defined at the congress.

These are enhancing leadership capability, combativeness of the Party organization, especially political nucleus, pioneering role and ability of cadres and Party members and continuing to innovate the content and method of leadership and direction of the Executive Committee to promote the role of the masses./.
