New Units Established to Further Boost Vietnam - Hungary Friendship
The association's four newly established units include the Debrecen, the School year 1967, the Vietnamese Overseas Student in Szeged, and MTV.

Pham Van Hien - Head of the Unit of Vietnamese Overseas Students in Szeged said the unit has more than 30 members who are alumni in Szeged (Hungary) since 1967. This is also the generation of Vietnamese students to study in Hungary.
Before the establishment of the unit, the new members had scattered activities such as meetings on anniversaries. The establishment gives members the chance to closely bond, and comply with the general regulations of the Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association, to further contribute to the betterment of cultivating the friendship between the two peoples.
Hien said that after the official establishment, the unit will develop a plan to organize meetings with more diverse and practical content, organize regular cultural activities to increase understanding and spread the sentiment for Hungary to the Vietnamese people.
Speaking at the event, Tibor Baloghdi, Ambassador of Hungary to Vietnam, congratulated the newly established units and expressed his wish that more young people participate in activities to enhance the two countries' people-to-people friendship. The Ambassador said that the Hungarian National Day celebration held in Vietnam proves the friendship between the two countries.

Currently, the Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association has three member units at the central level and three member associations at the local level. Altogether, its system has about 2.000 members nationwide. With their expertise in the Hungarian language, their long time staying in Hungary and working with Hungarian partners, and their great love for the country, people and culture of Hungary, they are translators and important bridges to preserve and develop the long-standing friendship between the two countries. They connect businesses, bring opportunities in the fields of investment, trade and tourism, and elp Vietnamese universities cooperate with Hungarian partners to hold training and research cooperation through frameworks signed by two governments.
Vu Hoang Linh, Chairman of the Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association said that the association will continue to promote its role as a bridge and further promote cooperation and exchange between the two countries in the fields of education, culture, and trade. At the same time, the Association will strengthen information and external communication to promote the image of an innovative Vietnam to Hungarian friends and the Vietnamese community in Hungary. The establishment of four new units will build more bridges connecting Vietnam - Hungary friendship.

On the occasion of the Hungarian National Day, the Association's members had a friendly meeting and reviewed a year's work. Vu Hoang Linh expressed his wish that the Association would always be a gathering place to develop the friendship between the people of the two countries. He also hopes that the Association would attract young people and innovate its activities to become more diverse, attractive, and sustainable.
