At the meeting, Trieu Thuy Nga, Head of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Office (Ministry of Industry and Trade) in Chongqing said over the years, the Office has always accompanied the Vietnamese Association in Chongqing - Sichuan to support and promote activities to connect and gather the Vietnamese people to create a forum for the Vietnamese community here to meet, exchange and understand each other better, increasing solidarity and attachment between those who are far from their homeland.

Trieu Thuy Nga, Head of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Office (Ministry of Industry and Trade) in Chongqing spoke at the meeting.

She also said the Consulate General of Vietnam in Chongqing is expected to be established in 2025. The event will create more favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community living, studying, working, and laboring in Chongqing. Trieu Thuy Nga, Head of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Office (Ministry of Industry and Trade) in Chongqing, wished the association to become more and more united and have many meaningful activities to attract more members and grow stronger.

Nguyen Thi Lan, President of the Vietnamese Association in Chongqing-Sichuan, said that more than 600 Vietnamese people are living, working, and studying in the Chongqing city area. In 2022, with the support of the Vietnamese Embassy in China and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Office in Chongqing, the Vietnamese Association in Chongqing - Sichuan was officially established.

In 2024, the Vietnamese Association in Chongqing-Sichuan worked together, innovated, and achieved many successes. They actively coordinated with the Vietnamese Embassy in China in implementing community mobilization and participated in launching and implementing movements toward the homeland such as supporting compatriots in difficulties, natural disasters, and floods.

Nguyen Thi Lan said that in 2025, the association's goals are forecasted to still face many challenges. She hoped the community would unite more closely, support each other, and make breakthroughs for the development of each individual and the homeland.

The program launched the Vietnam–China Business and Commerce Association under the Vietnamese Association in Chongqing-Sichuan on this occasion. The association was established to support overseas Vietnamese as a bridge, contributing their efforts to foster friendship between the people of Vietnam and China.
