The northern province of Son La plans to invest VND1.26 trillion to carry out the project on providing national grid to rural areas in the 2016-2020 period, in an attempt to give power to almost all families in the province.

The project, when completed by 2020, will provide power to an additional 21,000 families, raising the number of families who get access to power to some 246,000, equivalent to 95%.

In addition, some 1% of the province’s population will have access to power supply constructions built from the mobilization of other resources.

As of late August, nearly 40,000 families in 570 villages did not have power to use./.
