Party and State leaders pay homage to President Ho Chi Minh
On the occasion of the 70th year of August Revolution (August 19th) and the National Day (September 2nd), on September 1st, a delegation from the Party Central Committee, the State President, the State President, the National Assembly, the Government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee paid homage to President Ho Chi Minh at his Mausoleum and commemorated martyrs at the heroic martyrs’ memorial.

Party General Secretary, Nguyen Phu Trong; former Party General Secretary, Le Kha Phieu; State President, Truong Tan Sang; former State Presidents, Tran Duc Luong and Nguyen Minh Triet; Prime Minister, Nguyen Tan Dung; former National Assembly Chairman, Nguyen Van An; President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Nguyen Thien Nhan joined the homage.
The homage also included leaders and former leaders of the Party and State, ministries, central agencies and unions.
The wreath of the delegation delivered the message “Eternal gratitude l to the great President Ho Chi Minh”
After that, the delegation laid a wreath at the martyrs’ memorial site to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the national independence and freedom, and for the people’s happiness.
The wreath brought the letters “Eternal gratitude to heroic martyrs”.
On the same day, another delegation from the Central Military Party Committee - the Ministry of National Defence; the Central Public Security Party Committee – the Ministry of Public Security; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the Hanoi Party Committee and the Hanoi People’s Committee; the Office of the Government also paid a homage to President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and laid a wreath at the martyrs’ memorial to commemorate the heroes of the nation./.
