Speaking at the ceremony, the opinions of representatives of the Party and State leaders and the Korean Embassy in Vietnam recognized and highly appreciated the role of people-to-people diplomacy in promoting Vietnam-South Korea relations.

According to Nguyen Phuong Nga, President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, the connection between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea has grown strongly, with numerous big, profound and all-encompassing achievements in all disciplines. Both countries have emerged as each other's major trading partners. During the visit to Korea by President Nguyen Xuan Phuc in early December 2022, the two countries' senior officials released a joint statement making the two countries' relations to a "comprehensive strategic partnership."

The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association have actively coordinated with Korean people's organizations such as the Korea-Vietnam Economic and Cultural Association, the Association of Koreans who Love Vietnam, and the Lee (Lý) family in Korea who have had many good initiatives and organized many diverse activities such as people-to-people exchanges, cultural exchanges, festivals, competitions to learn about the historical customs, traditions, culture, country, people, and development accomplishments of each country.

The Vietnamese and Korean Eloquence Contest, book translation and publication, economic trade, investment, development-aid seminars, education and training, and tourism projects, as well as the implementation of the "Vietnam-Korea Friendship School" project and the construction of numerous Vietnam-Korea Friendship Houses, are among the highlights activities.

The Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association and the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, according to Nguyen Phuong Nga, will do their best to act as a bridge and closely coordinate with Korean partners and people's organizations. The nation effectively carries out the agreements of senior leaders, strengthens intercultural, artistic, and sporting exchanges, promotes trade and tourism, implements humanitarian and charitable projects, and supports multicultural families from Vietnam and Korea as well as the Vietnamese community in Korea and Koreans in Vietnam.

Consequently, the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea will be promoted, strengthening its ability to serve the interests and aspirations of the two nations while also strengthening and deepening the friendship between the two peoples.
