Phu Yen spends VND520 billion for hi-tech agricultural production
The central province of Phu Yen has decided to invest VND520 billion to realise the project to construct essential infrastructure at the area on hi-tech application into agricultural production on an area of 460 hectares in Hoa Quang Bac commune, Phu Hoa district.
The capital will be used to complete the Lo Chai No. 1 irrigation system with a capacity of over 3 million cubic metres of water; build 4 kilometres of traffic roads; and construct the waste treatment area, and some other technical infrastructure works.
Earlier, nearly VND23 billion was invested in this agricultural production area. Meanwhile, the province issued preferential policies and supported investment; however, the area has not attracted many enterprises due to incomplete infrastructure.
Together with the essential infrastructure, from now until 2020, other constructions will also be built, including a centre for research and development of hi-tech agriculture, a model for hi-tech application, the development, research and application of domestic and foreign science and technology for transfer to farmers and enterprises.
The hi-tech application area for agricultural production in the province was established in 2013, being a place for applying hi-tech research and development achievements in planting, breeding, forestry and fishery areas, preservation and processing of agricultural products, the production of bioproducts and breeding food for coastal regions in the south-central region./.
