PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc to inspect Long Bien market from daybreak
In early morning September 27th, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam had an inspection trip in Long Bien market, Hanoi.
The two leaders visited some stalls and talked with small traders in the market.
As one of the largest wholesale markets in Hanoi, Long Bien market supplies fruits, agricultural products, aquatic products to the people of the capital. Hence, this is one of the markets in Hanoi that need to be tightly controlled on the issue of food safety and hygiene.
PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc instructed household business to provide vegetables, agricultural products of clear origins to consumers.
“Traders need to keep business ethics, do not for profit but sell impregnated fruits, fruits containing toxic preservatives or some of unknown origins which are harmful to the health of consumers and to their own.”, he said.

Shortly after the inspection of food safety in Long Bien market and in Van Duc commune, Gia Lam district, Hanoi, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had working meetings with Hanoi People’s Committee on food safety.
Speaking at the meeting, PM said that food safety is a serious issue relating to the lives, health of people and society.
“Today, I, Mr. Vu Duc Dam along with working group were examining the implementation of Directive 13 in Hanoi”, said Prime Minister.
Directive 13 has variety of content, of which refers to responsibility of organization and inpiduals in ensuring food safety and financing this work.
From the inspection in Hanoi, PM will consider whether any problems arising in mechanism and policies or anything should be added; whether the pision of duties is clear or not; what are experience gained. Thereby, PM will steer improve the efficiency of food safety management./.
