President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum reopens to visitors

According to the Management Board for President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, The President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Monument to War Heroes and Martyrs in Hanoi will be reopened to visitors from August 15 after a periodic repair and maintenance.

The two sites will be reopened as the repair and maintenance work have been completed.

This year, the mausoleum welcomed over 45,000 visitors, including more than 4,600 foreigners during the public holidays in celebration of the 44th National Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day.

Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Ba Dinh Square is the final resting place of Ho Chi Minh, the most respected and popular leader of Vietnam, known to his people as ‘Uncle Ho’.

The building was inspired by Lenin’s Mausoleum in Moscow but reflects Vietnamese architectural elements.

Every year, millions of tourists as well as Vietnamese people from every part of the country visits the Mausoleum to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and gain more knowledge of Vietnam's history.
