The business trip of President Vo Van Thuong and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to attend the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation was a success, achieving the set goals, and contributing to the effective implementation of the foreign policy of the 13th Party Congress.
The forum was held after more than four years of interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic with more than 4,000 delegates from more than 140 countries and 30 international organizations. In particular, this forum has the participation of more than 20 senior leaders from Asian, European, African, and Latin American countries.
In a difficult world economic context, the forum is an important opportunity for countries to discuss, and seek new solutions and growth drivers.
The content of this discussion highlighted the multilateral approach to economic issues, trade, connectivity, digital transformation processes, and green transition, which are topics of interest and related to many countries.
The trip is the President's first multilateral foreign activity in 2023. At this forum, President Vo Van Thuong gave an important speech on Belt and Road cooperation, stating Vietnam's perspectives and approaches on the topic of the digital economy.
The President's speech and the participation of our delegation were appreciated by the delegates. In addition, members of the delegation also contributed to specialized discussion sessions.
The business trip of President Vo Van Thuong and the high-level Vietnamese delegation achieved a number of important and outstanding results.
By participating in the forum's activities as well as sideline activities, we affirmed the consistent foreign policy of the 13th Congress, affirming that Vietnam is a friend, a trusted partner, and a responsible member of the international community.
This also shows a clear stance on Vietnam's support for multilateralism, with initiatives beneficial to peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
We also shared experiences with other countries and discussed directions for cooperation on emerging topics of widespread concern such as digital transformation, green development and economic connection.
This contributes to building a world economy that is multi-connected, open, inclusive, and sustainable, with people at the center.
Through activities at the forum, our ministries and branches also have the opportunity to further strengthen cooperation with partners from many countries. The results of this forum will support the implementation of the agreement on connecting Vietnam's "Two Corridors, One Belt" framework and China's "Belt and Road" initiative.
During two days of attending the forum, the President met and interacted with many heads of state, government, the Secretary General of the United Nations and a number of international organizations.
In the exchange, partners all showed respect for the role and position of Vietnam. They wish to promote practical cooperation with Vietnam, expanding the scope of economic and trade cooperation, science and technology, education and training, cultural and people-to-people exchanges.

How do you evaluate the results of President Vo Van Thuong's bilateral activities during this trip to China?
With this business trip, this is the first time President Vo Van Thuong had bilateral meetings with senior leaders of the Party and State of China in his capacity as the Head of State of Vietnam.
This meeting of the President is a continuation of a series of high-level activities between the Leaders of the two Parties and two countries since the beginning of 2023 until now, in the context of the 15th anniversary of the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership framework
In particular, the visit continued to concretize the results of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's historic visit to China in October 2022.
President Vo Van Thuong, General Secretary, China President Xi Jinping and senior Chinese leaders discussed extensively about major directions and specific measures to enhance political trust, deepen and elevate the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in the new period.
President Xi Jinping said China always considers Vietnam a priority direction in China's overall neighboring foreign policy.
He welcomes and supports Vietnam's strong development and successful implementation of the goal of industrialization and modernization of the country, so that the two countries can develop together.
The leaders of both sides also agreed to make joint efforts to promote relations with higher political trust, and practical cooperation.
General Secretary and President Xi Jinping affirmed that China is ready to strengthen imports of goods, including agricultural products and manufactured industrial products from Vietnam, encourage the expansion of high-quality investment in areas suitable to Vietnam's needs.
The two sides emphasized the importance and agreed to soon promote the organization of people-to-people exchange activities between the two countries.
The two countries also agreed to implement the common perception of senior leaders, comply with international law, effectively control and handle disagreements, contributing to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
