(VNF) - The campaign “Families plant trees” period 2017-2021 was launched on August 27 in Dist.9, HCM.City.

The campaign was jointly organized by the Ho Chi Minh city's Women’s Union, Labor's Union and the Communist Youth Union.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the campaign, Vice President of the city’s Women’s Union Tran Thi Phuong Hoa urged all officers, members of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and all residents to join hands in planting, protecting and developing green space at home and public places, in order to beautify local landscape, protect the environment and increase the quality of life.

Accordingly, the residents are encouraged to plant over 10,000 trees, aiming to contribute to protecting natural resources, cope with climate change and enhance the public’s awareness of the importance of environment protection.

On this ocassion, the organizing committee of the campaign presented 50 trees to households in District 9./.
