After a long-term preparation, “Book for children" project at Meo Vac, Ha Giang has kicked off with a Folk village festival, successfully took place on October 27 with the participation of over 300 children in Can Chu Phin commune.

The festival is organized with the desire to bring knowledge and dreams to children in upland area in Meo Vac district, Ha Giang province, and to inspire them to discover the beauty of culture and folk villages in other localities as well as in Vietnam.

At the festival, organizers and sponsors of the "Books for children" project donated 12,600 books to 33 primary and secondary schools in Meo Vac district. Throughout school year 2018-2019, the project will continue to provide trainings to teachers, bring reading session to every single class, help children nurture their minds, build up knowledge to pursue their dreams and make them come true.

The project “Books for children” at Meo Vac was organized by the project team, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation and Department of Education and Training at Ha Giang, together with the sponsorship and participation of units: TH Group, SeABank, Columbia Sportswear Company, Son Ha Garment Company, Thien Tam Group, Mrs. Ngo Van - Tetra Pak and book deliver support from - Delta International Company.

For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) was established in December 16, 2014, licensed by Ministry of Home Affairs. It’s a charitable, non-profit, social foundation to improve the physical strength and intellect of Vietnamese children, for a Vietnam mighty.

To achieve this mission, VSF focuses on supporting the rights of nutrition and education for children through 3 core programs: School milk – for Vietnamese stature program; Nurturing young talents program; and Health care for the pregnant program. Besides, VSF often conducts charity activities, such as: building schools in mountainous areas; building bridges and charity houses for poor households and children; sponsoring heart surgery program “Heart for children”, blood donation program “Red Sunday” and charity program “Tet for the poor”, etc./.
