Promote People-to-people Exchanges and Diverse Cooperation between Vietnam, Brazil Friendship Associations
At the meeting, which took place on Dec. 5 in Hanoi, the two sides planned several cooperative activities between VUFO, the Vietnam - Brazil Friendship and Cooperation Association, and ABRAVIET in 2024 when the two countries celebrate the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations (May 8, 1989 - May 8, 2024).

Accordingly, the two sides will coordinate to organize a friendship meeting, exchange delegations, and hold online discussions to connect and enhance cooperation opportunities between businesses of the two countries. They also plan to invite the Brazilian Ambassador to Vietnam to visit famous coffee-growing localities in Vietnam.
In addition, the two Associations will act as a bridge to promote exchange and cooperation in the fields of culture, arts, sports, education and training tourism, and student exchange between the two countries.
According to Nguyen Nang Khieu, the disscussed contents will be reported to VUFO leaders for consideration and approval.
Brazil-Vietnam Friendship Association (ABRAVIET) is the main partner of the Vietnam-Brazil Friendship and Cooperation Association. ABRAVIET was established in 2012 with Inácio Arruda, Brazilian Federal Senator, as President. The main areas of cooperation between the two Associations include spreading information, exchanging in education, and connecting businesses. |
