Promoting Can Tho's Investment Environment to Malaysian Investors
According to the Vietnam - Malaysia Friendship Association in Can Tho City, the association has made many positive contributions to boosting cooperation in education - training, science - technology to enhance understanding, cooperation and friendship between the two countries.

Among the programs held by the Can Tho's association, the cooperation between Southern Can Tho University and Malaysia University of Science and Technology in implementing the joint training program for Bachelor of Business Administration is notable as it is the first international joint program at Can Tho University.
Nguyen Van Quang, Rector of Southern Can Tho University, said: "Since 2018, Southern Can Tho University has cooperated with the Malaysia University of Science and Technology to hold four courses with a total of about 130 students. In February 2023, the two universities held a ceremony to award the bachelor's degree in Business Administration to 28 students who graduated from the first course. This is an event of special significance, marking the students' maturity in developing themselves and their careers", said Dr. Nguyen Van Quang.
Also according to Quang, thanks to its high applicability and prestigious lecturers who have practical experience in running successful businesses and management practices, after finishing the course, students are equipped with the knowledge, business skills, and good foreign language skills that can enable them to work in both domestic and international environments.
As a core force in promoting people-to-people friendship, the Vietnam - Malaysia Friendship Association in Can Tho City consistently expands cooperation and exchanges with many Malaysian partners, agencies, and businesses to implement cooperation and investment projects in culture, education, trade, and services in Can Tho City.
The Congress agreed that in the next term, the association will continue to promote its role as a bridge to strengthen friendship activities and cultural exchanges, closely combining friendship activities with cooperation promotion to attract Malaysia's investment and trade. In particular, the association will strengthen cooperation in scientific and technological research and exchange of experts.
The Congress elected the nine-member Executive Committee for the new term. Nguyen Van Quang, Rector of Southern Can Tho University, was elected Chairman of the Vietnam - Malaysia Friendship Association in Can Tho City for the term 2023-2028.

Speaking at the congress, Dinh Trung Truc asked the association's Executive Committee to continue propagating and raising awareness of people, especially the young generation of the two countries, about Vietnam-Malaysia relations.
It also needs to strengthen the introduction and promotion of the investment environment of Can Tho City to Malaysian businesses and investors, creating conditions for investors to better understand the guidelines and policies of the Party and State towards Malaysia. It needs to actively coordinate with agencies and departments of Can Tho City to well implement cooperation agreements between Can Tho City and Malaysian partners.
