The first session of the Quang Tri provincial People’s Council term 2016-2021 convened on June 30^th, with its main work to elect key leaders of the provincial People’s Council and People’s Committee.

Delegates cast their votes to elect key leaders.

The results showed that Nguyen Van Hung, Party Central Committee member and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, was elected as Chairman of the provincial People’s Council. Meanwhile, Nguyen Duc Dung was re-elected as Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council and Nguyen Tran Huy, Secretary of the Quang Tri town Party Committee, was elected as the other Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council.

In addition, Nguyen Duc Chinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, was re-elected as Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.

The session re-elected 3 Vice Chairpersons of the provincial People’s Committee, and elected 18 members of the provincial People’s Committee and 15 jurors of the provincial People’s Court./.
