Seminar on Vietnam war held in Argentina

Seminar on Vietnam war held in Argentina
The Argentina - Vietnam Cultural Institute (ICAV) and Vietnam Embassy in Argentina co-organized a seminar on the Vietnam War on July 19th at the San Martin cultural-social club on the outskirts of Buenos Aires as part of activities to mark the 70th anniversary of August Revolution and Independence Day.

The seminar was attended by more than 70 members of Campora, an Argentine political youth organization.

The event began with a short documentary on the US war in Vietnam and its aftermath. On this occasion, Professor, Ezequiel Ramoneda from Sanvador University and the Southeast Asia Research Center delivered a lecture on the global and regional contexts during the war and its impacts on the peace-loving people all over the world.

President of the ICAV Poldi Sosa highlighted the heroic examples of the Vietnamese peoples solidarity in their past struggles against foreign invaders and the current national construction process, with the lessons of experience for the young generation, as well as the tremendous socio-economic advances roundly achieved.

The event was closed with a short contemporary film titled “Vietnam today” telling the story about the culture, country, people and economic development work.

The seminar also discussed Vietnam’s development process in the renovation period and international integration./.
