Ms N.T.B.L ( at Hanoi, Caugiay dist, Hotungamu Str no 136) complained to Vietnamtimes that two Similac Eye -Q3 900gr boxes she bouhgt in a formula dealer placed at Cau Giay dist, Yen Hoa found curdled with hard lumps, unusual smell and changed color though they were new with manufactured date on 24/5/2019 and expiry date on 24/5/2021.

" I often buy Similac formula for my baby because the brand is imported, so I think it is safe and qualified. I have never seen such a bad quality with hard curdled formula milk as this time" she sai. .

After that, the presentative of Abbott has contacted L and made a record when receiving her complain. The record stated clearly that two milk boxes tested at the time of opening numbered 05532 NT (manufactured date 24/05/2019 – expiry date 24/05/2021) seem normal.

Abbott representative has explained about strict production assemble and requirement of test, quality, smell and fluctuated dissolvent rate, but he couldn't clarify the reason of such a hard curdled Similac formula.

The mother refused to apology and 2 Similac formula box present from Abbott when she thought its explaination for the issue unreasonable, she asked for more fair and satisfatory feedbacks.

Right after receiving the consumer's complain, Vietnamtimes reporter has contacted Abbott in Hanoi for exact information and was informed by Ms Hong Ngoc - media manager that Abbott was in the process of carefully confirming the information on consumers' rights based on consumer law and reply later.

Abbott's formula milk has been complained about its bad quality many times by consumers.

Abbott used to be complained about its hard curdled lumps and unusual smell, color to VTC News by another mother named Nguyen Ngoc Van (in Hochiminh city, Q11 dist, No 8 ward) on 2013/12/16 due to its problemed Abbott Grow formule for 3 year old children. She bought a carton of Abbott Grow formula boxes for her 3 year old child, after using some boxex, she found the milk curdled in other boxex and her child refused to eat. She also complained to Abbott and received unsatisfied and unfair reply.

In 2014, Abbott was complained by another mother named Pham Thi Thu in Hanoi, Thanh Xuan about the similar issue on giaoduc.net.vn but still received unclear and vague answer.
