South African Consulate supports needy Navy officers' families
(VNF) - The South African Consulate in HCM.City recently donated over VND 700 million to support families of soldiers who are working to protect the country's territorial islands and seas.

The donation was made in an event themed "New Year in the remote islands" jointly held by the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Foundation, the Ho Chi Minh city Communist Youth Union, and the club "For the beloved Hoang Sa, Truong Sa".
The cash worths VND 700 million will be used to build 10 gratitude houses for needy families of Navy officers.
On the occasion, the High Command of Vietnam People's Navy presented Letter of Appreciation to the South African Consulate to acknowledge its contribution to charitable activities.
Recently, the Consulate and the Tuoi Tre (Youths) Newspaper presented 3,000 warm jackets, boots and woolen caps to students and teachers at elementary and junior high schools in the two districts of Nam Nga, Muong Te in Lai Chau province./.
