On the evening of October 27, the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control issued a report on the work of responding to storm Molave's impact.

Accordingly, at 1 pm on October 27, on the way to Hon Tre island (Khanh Hoa) to seek shelter, the fishing boat numbered B-96388-TS sank, causing 12 fishermen to lose contact. The sinking location is 120 nautical miles from Hon Tre Island, Khanh Hoa.

After being informed, Khanh Hoa provincial leaders asked functional forces to coordinate with fishermen to approach the fishing vessel in distress. However, as of Oct. 27 night, the authorities have yet to find 12 mentioned fishermen.

The Border Guard Command of Khanh Hoa Province said the sunk fishing vessel was the property of Mr. Le Van (residing in Binh Dinh province) and was commanded by captain Le Van Minh (residing in Tam Quan Nam commune, Hoai Nhon district, Binh Dinh province).

By the evening of Oct. 27, the border guards in the central provinces announced and instructed more than 45,000 ships and boats with nearly 230,000 fishermen about the moving direction of the storm so that they can safely shelter.

Regarding the response to Molave storm, central provinces from Thua Thien - Hue to Phu Yen have plans to evacuate 492,461 people out of the danger area. It is expected that the evacuation work will be completed tonight (Oct. 28).

Measures to prevent consequences causing by Molave storm:

1. Regularly check official updates on wind strength, moving route, and direction of the storm from the local government.

2. Join groups of Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri communities on Zalo app to help each other overcome the storm attack.

3. If there is any urgent need or call for help during the storm attack, please use Zalo's SOS function to quickly create an "I need help" message with location sharing then fill in the pop-up form.
