Taiwanese university strengthens support for Vietnamese highschool
(VNF) – Taiwan’s Chihlee University of Technology (Taipei) delegates recently visited the Hanoi Foreign Languages Specializing School (University of Language and International Studies, Hanoi National University) to discuss further cooperation.

Speaking at the meeting with Foreign Language Specializing School (FLSS) on May 15, management board and the school’s Chinese language teachers, President of Chihlee University of Technology (CLU) Shang Shichang spoke highly on the outstanding performance of FLSS’s alumni in CLU, affirming the university’s strong willingness to provide brilliant students of FLSS with the most favorable scholarship.
The two sides took the occasion to discuss on reinforcing the friendship between FLSS and CLU via practical cooperation programmes, such as organizing short-term exchange for students and teachers of the two schools. Specially, CLU will probably sponsor FLSS's contests for students, with the award being a free learning tour in Taipei, Taiwan.
The meeting promised to open a new door of cooperation opportunity for CLU and FLSS, which will tremendously benefit FLSS students and teachers in general and those specializing in Chinese language in particular.

CLU and FLSS established partnership in 2011. By now, six students graduating from FLSS have obtained Chihlee’s A-class and B-class scholarship to pursue higher education.
CLU is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Taiwan. CLU has over 10,000 students and its graduates exceed 50,000. The university has received high recognition from ratings and evaluations conducted by the Taiwanese Ministry of Education (MOE). In 2009-2014, Chihlee also received a grant of USD 6,330,000 from MOE to execute the “Plan to Encourage Teaching Excellence in Universities”./.
