Thanh Chuong Entrepreneurs Association in Hanoi: Investment Promotion for Homeland

On July 16, 2023, in Hanoi, the Thanh Chuong Entrepreneurs Association in Hanoi and the Northern region together with the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong district held a meeting between businessmen, public figures, intellectuals, leaders, and former leaders who are Thanh Chuong locals living and working in Hanoi, together with district leaders. The event aimed at strengthening exchanges and cooperation to connect members and explore investment opportunities and potentials in their hometown.

The meeting was attended by Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Tran Sy Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, Trinh Van Nha - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of Thanh Chuong People's Committee and CEOs, General Directors of many corporations and enterprises in Hanoi.

Nguyen Xuan Thang, Tran Sy Thanh, and leaders of Thanh Chuong district presented flowers to congratulate the new Executive Board of Thanh Chuong Entrepreneurs Association in Hanoi.

Speaking at the meeting, Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, whose hometown is Thanh Chuong, expressed his hope that entrepreneurs “take action” to continue to awaken the potential that has been stimulated. Meanwhile, the district needs to do well in development planning considering that it still lacks infrastructure including roads, bridges, etc., and needs to increase the value of the homtown's products.

Nguyen Canh Hong - CEO of Eurowindow Group, Chairman of Thanh Chuong Enterprise Association in Hanoi, said that the meeting is also an opportunity for individuals, businesses, and members to exchange experiences and promote development in each member enterprise, as well as find solutions for economic development in the home district.

“At today's meeting, we reviewed the Association's operation process and set out the direction of activities in 2024 and the following years. At the same time, we exchange, connect, strengthen cooperation, support, and, more importantly, contribute ideas and find consensus on the direction of investment promotion for socio-economic development in Thanh Chuong district, making the district a region with a sustainable economy,' said Nguyen Canh Hong.

Also at the meeting, Trinh Van Nha - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of Thanh Chuong People's Committee, talked about the potentials that are not commensurate with the current development of the district and the dire need for attention, investment promotion of entrepreneurs and enterprises. According to Trinh Van Nha, the Hanoi - Vientiane Expressway Project (which has been signed by the Government of Vietnam and the Government of Laos) running through the Thanh Thuy border gate (Thanh Chuong district) - Nam Om (Laos) will open up great development investment opportunities.

Talking at the meeting, many businessmen expressed their special interest in the development potential of the district, such as 10 key investment projects proposed by the district, industrial clusters, and new urban areas along with other products bearing the imprint of the home district such as salted jackfruit, honey, black carp... that are increasingly reaching out. Entrepreneurs also want the Association and district leaders to create connections with Thanh Chuong entrepreneurs across the country and abroad to jointly develop their hometown.
