Thousands Enjoy Vietnam - Korea Friendship Street Festival in Hanoi
The two-day event "Vietnam - Korea Friendship Street Festival" was organized by Association of Koreans in Hanoi on Dec 10-11 at the Tran Van Lai street, My Dinh, Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi.
Thousands people attended the event, reported by VOV. This number exceeded the estimation of the organization, proving the great attraction of Korean culture in Vietnam.
Notably, there were many exciting performances such as Hanoi folk art, Korean music and dance performances.

At the festival, there are stalls introducing famous Korean cuisine such as kimchi, mixed rice, mixed vermicelli, seafood cakes as well as grilled meats marinated with typical spices from the land of kimchi. In particular, visitors can find Korean restaurants near the venue to enjoy more special dishes, enjoying the taste of authentic Korean food righ in the Vietnam's capital city.
The festival also featured the decoration of Vietnam-styled lanterns and Korean-styled traditional lanterns to show the common culture of the two countries.
Special guest of the main stage on the evening of Dec 10 was the new Korean Ambassador Oh Young Ju. In her speech, the Korean diplomat believed that this will be a good opportunity for the people of the two countries to exchange, to enhance friendship and mutual understanding through cultural activities.
Chang Eun Sook - President of the Korean Association in Hanoi said the festival "The Vietnam -Korea Friendship Cultural Road" means to restore the excitement of the Korean commercial areas after a long break due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
"We want to make this event an annual event. We want to turn this Vietnam-Korea friendship cultural road into a destination for both Korean and Vietnamese tourists, especially young people. We hope that the people of the two countries can have cultural exchange opportunities to become friends through cultural activities."
Vietnamese performers on the main stage of "Vietnam - Korea Friendship Street Festival" are famous Vietnamese singers, Suni Ha Linh and Trinh Thang Binh. Suni Ha Linh has participated in the "K-Pop Star Hunt season 2" contest and won three "Vietnamese Star" competitions. These two singers are popular among both Vietnamese and Korean fans for their youthful appearances, and musical and language skills.
The main stage also featured famous Korean performers such as: Ha So Ra, Byun Jin Sub, Pilgrim and Yudal.
