Matt Ryland, Executive Director at BritCham Vietnam, stressed at the press conference on February 26 in Ho Chi Minh City that the run is BritCham's major annual sports event to raise funds to support charitable activities in many fields such as education, health care, and wildlife protection.

It is also a healthy playground to promote physical fitness while encouraging a community spirit between local people and the foreign community living and working in Vietnam. With a running route of 5km, the event also includes many activities such as children's play areas, art performances, lucky draws, and diverse culinary exchanges for all ages.

In 2024, the run is scheduled to start at 5 a.m. on March 17 in Sala Urban Area (Thu Duc City - Ho Chi Minh City). This year's event includes Male/Female/Children Athletes Categories with 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, and 1 Third Prize in each category.
