Deputy Minister Do Hoang Anh Tuan presented flowers to a representative of the Ha Nam Ninh Department of Customs.
Under the decision, the Ha Nam Ninh Department of Customs is in charge of undertaking state management on customs activities in the three provinces of Ha Nam, Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh. Its headquarters is located in Ninh Binh. This is the 35th department of customs in the customs sector’s apparatus system.
Earlier, State management of customs in the three provinces was undertaken by the Thanh Hoa Department of Customs. However, the Department only performed 65% of procedures of nearly 1,000 enterprises usually carrying out export and import activities, while procedures for the remaining enterprises were made outside the areas.
Deputy Minister of Finance Do Hoang Anh Tuan said that trade turnover in the three localities continued to rise more than 10% a year at some USD6 billion. The establishment of the Ha Nam Ninh Department of Customs aims to serve the economic development demand of the three provinces.
He asked the Department to make its utmost efforts to serve enterprises and be a partner of enterprises, but at the same time it should conduct e-customs on 100% of enterprises in the three localities and follow Resolution 35 of the Government in order to reduce customs clearance duration and export and import activities fees./.
