Thuan Mang Secondary boarding school in Bac Kan province opens
(VNF) - The National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) on September 7th inaugurated the Thuan Mang secondary boarding school in Ngan Son district, Bac Kan province.

Thuan Mang is home to four ethnic minority groups; theTay, Nung, Mong and Dao. Its people live far and wide by their own tradition and have little access to information that would assist their development and this presents considerable difficulties for authorities when trying to deliver services that would assist their development.

Thanks to the financial support (VND2.3 billion) from the State-owned Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group’s Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV Gas), the 400-square meter- construction has 10 bed rooms (19.5 square meter each), four bathrooms (4.7 square meter each), a dining room, a playground, a water tank, a stone embankment, and a kitchen, meeting the demand of 80 pupils and teachers.

On this occasion, Vice State President, Nguyen Thi Doan planted a commemorative tree in the compound of Thuan Mang secondary school, the NVFC also assisted 130 pupils, VND500,000 each, and donors provided essential equipment including food trays, table and chairs, warm clothes, pillows, mosquito nets and blankets.

Last year, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam contributed VND2.5 billion for the NVFC to build the Muong Ly secondary boarding school, Muong Lat district, Thanh Hoa province./.
