Two chapters of Vietnam-India Friendship Association of Hanoi established
(VNF) - On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27th, 1947-2017) and Vietnam's National Day (September 2nd, 1945-2017), the Vietnam-India Friendship Association of Hanoi (VIFA Hanoi) in collaboration with the Birla Children’s Village hold the program "Drink water, think of source" on July 29th. On this occasion, VIFA Hanoi also announced the decision to set up two new chapters.

At the event, Do Thu Ha, VIFA Hanoi General Secretary, announced the decision to establish two chapters in Viet Hoang High School and An Lac Club. Among them, the An Lac Club Chapter of VIFA Hanoi has 13 members of the Executive Committee and 60 members, headed by Vu Thi Hai, Chairman of the Club and the Viet Hoang High School Chapter consists of 10 Executive Committee members.
Two new chapters are members operating under the rules and guidelines of VIFA Hanoi in order to enhance the people-to-people’s activities, thereby promoting cooperation in the fields of education, trade, economic, religious exchange between Vietnam - India.
2017 is a very significant year for the people of the two countries, marking the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the bilateral diplomatic ties (January 7th, 1972-2017) and ten years of the strategic partnership establishment (2007-2017). 2017 is also the year which is defined by leaders of the two countries as “Year of Vietnam – India Friendship”. Therefore, the decision to set up two new chapters of VIFA Hanoi really creates a firmer bridge for people-to-people dialogues between the two people and further strengthens the bilateral relationship between two countries.

On this occasion, the Indian Embassy in Vietnam and VIFA Hanoi presented gifts to the children of martyrs’ families and invalids studying at the Viet Hoang High School and children in the Birla Children’s Village, encourging them always try and achieve high academic achievement.
Mai Truong Son, who has lived for four years at the Birla Children's Village expressed his gratitude to the Indian Embassy in Vietnam as well as VIFA Hanoi. He said that during his time at the Village, he always received enthusiastic support from his teachers and friends in his study as well as daily life.
“The love of the teachers is what impressed me, is also the deepest gift I have received here,” he said.

Visiting the Birla Children's Village, representative of Indian Embassy thanked the organisers for this opportunity and inpiduals who have teamed up to build this meaningful village.
They expressed their appreciation and hope that the children will try their best, learn well and support each other to elicit and develop the potential inherent in each person. He will pray for the best things will always come to them./.
