Vietnam-Africa: Ample Room to Cooperate in Agriculture, Food Security, Digital Transformation
A Vietnamese delegation led by Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria Tran Quoc Khanh attended the 9th Africa Trade and Investment Forum. The forum was held both virtually and in person in Algiers, the capital of Algeria.
Themed "Gateway to Africa's Industry, Agriculture and Trade", the 9th African Trade and Investment Forum was held by the Center for Arab-Africa Investment and Development (CAAID). It connected more than 650 economic actors including investors, leaders of regional and international organizations, experts, researchers, diplomatic missions, and trade promotion agencies from many countries.

The forum was also attended by executives and representatives of investment organizations from European, Asian, and American countries who were interested in the African market, such as Poland, Switzerland, France, Spain, China, Japan, Russia, Pakistan, and Mexico.
At the forum, 30 agreements were signed, while more than 400 bilateral meetings between Algerian and foreign businesses in various fields were held, attracting foreign investment in Algeria under the country's new Investment Law.

Within the forum's framework, besides discussions on economic cooperation, the Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria set up a booth in the common exhibition space. Vietnam's booth displays and introduces many Vietnamese products such as coffee, tea, rice, pepper, rice paper, tapioca, and handicrafts. It also introduces publications promoting culture - tourism, and Vietnamese people to friends in African countries.
Ambassador Tran Quoc Khanh said this was the third time in a row that the Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria had been invited to attend and set up a booth at the forum, demonstrating African countries' appreciation of Vietnam's role and potential in cooperation. According to the Ambassador, economic and investment cooperation between Vietnam and African countries is increasingly expanding. The two sides have great room to continue cooperation, especially in agricultural development, food security, and digital transformation.

Ambassador Tran Quoc Khanh highly appreciated the organization of the forum. He stressed that the participation of the Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria opened up an opportunity to meet and exchange with representatives of African countries and businesses about the potential for economic cooperation and investment in African countries, as well as introducing Vietnamese culture through the exhibition booth.
