When the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam proposed that the country host the Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians, IPU agreed without any hesitation. Before this, Vietnam hosted IPU-132 in 2015 in Hanoi and impressed many people with their professionalism and organization.
Up to now, after three working days within the framework of this Conference, Vietnam continues to affirm its organizational capacity, thereby contributing to the success of the Conference.
IPU Secretary General Martin Chungong:

The results of the Conference far exceeded expectations, breaking many records such as the highest number of delegates ever attended (300 international delegates, of which more than 200 parliamentarians from the IPU). Vietnam is a famous destination; Vietnamese people are meticulous and caring.
Vietnam has truly continued the success of IPU-132 and made innovations adjusted to the times.

Always get timely assistance

The conference is very well organized. We are warmly welcomed and feel safe here. Whenever we encounter difficulties, we receive timely support.
The conference's topics are global and comprehensive, and the discussions are profound. We also receive ideas from other countries that are doing well in digitalization, innovation, and entrepreneurship. It's good to understand what each country is good at and learn ideas from that country.
With the release of the Joint Declaration, delegates will have documents to take home, implementing the ideas discussed at the conference in their home country. The declaration summarizes what we discussed and agreed upon at the conference, from which we can draw for application in our country.

This is my first time coming to Vietnam and I really had a wonderful experience here. The organization of the conference is very good, and we are warmly welcomed. I was very excited to participate in a conference that discussed very important topics such as strengthening the digital capabilities of young people but also linked to the issue of cultural heritage, which is also very important.
It's great that I can hear from many sectors of society, both public and private organizations, about how digitalization can become a tool to support and prepare for the future of the young generation.

Great opportunity to interact with colleagues

I had a great time during this first time in Vietnam. Your country is very beautiful, the people are friendly and kind. I see great opportunities for Vietnam's socio-economic development in the future. Your country has truly risen.
The conference gave me a great opportunity to interact with colleagues and learn from effective practices from many different countries around the world.
In my speech at the first discussion session, I emphasized that by consulting digital transformation practices everywhere, we take the best parts from each country and learn from them.
Hassan Kirumira, Ugandan parliamentarian:
Impressed by enthusiastic young people

Coming to Vietnam, I feel very happy. From the moment I arrived at Noi Bai International Airport, I felt the hospitality and warm welcome of the host country, Vietnam, to our group. I feel that the organization of this Young Parliamentarians Conference was highly respected by the host country, and went smoothly, just as we expected.
We have seen many enthusiastic, hard-working young people supporting us throughout the past few days, when moving from the hotel to the National Assembly and vice versa, and in the discussion sessions. We also talked a lot about the contribution of young people in digital transformation.
I find Vietnam to be a very beautiful country. When I grew up, what I knew about Vietnam was mostly through movies about war. But when I arrived here, I found this to be a very beautiful country with forests and seas and industrializing very quickly.
As a business and entrepreneur, I see many opportunities for development and investment. I hope in the future I can bring my family here to travel and explore the landscape of Vietnam. And as a politician, I hope to come back here in the future and share my knowledge to support you in the development process.
