Vietnam, Indonesia Hold Handover Ceremony of Miniature "Borobudur Temple" in Bac Ninh province
Speaking at the ceremony, President of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Nguyen Huong Giang stressed that the handover ceremony is a practical activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Indonesia in 2025.
The traditional friendship between the two countries President Ho Chi Minh and President Sukarno laid the foundation in December 1955 and has 70 years of history. While the world and the region have witnessed many complicated changes, Vietnam and Indonesia have always been loyal and close friends.
“Until now, the relationship between the two countries has grown stronger, deeper, and more effective both bilaterally and multilaterally. The event of placing a miniature model of Borobudur Temple demonstrates the precious affection of the Indonesian government and people for Bac Ninh province. This is one of the first symbols placed at the International Friendship Park of Bac Ninh province," said the President of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang.

The Indonesian diplomat believed that the miniature model of Borobudur Temple in Bac Ninh province - the birthplace of Vietnamese Buddhism - would contribute to continuing to promote many cultural and social cooperation activities between the two countries. Visiting and admiring the miniature model of Borobudur Temple will convince Vietnamese people to travel to Indonesia and admire the real Borobudur Temple.
