On April 13th, the 26th Vietnam International Trade Fair (Vietnam Expo 2016) officially opened at Hanoi International Exhibition Centre.

The four-day event, themed “Enhancing regional and global economic links”, is recognized as the most effective trade event, bringing a lot of economic value for organizations, enterprises and inpiduals in Vietnam and overseas.

This year’s fair, with nearly 600 booths, attracted the participation of 500 Vietnamese and foreign enterprises from 14 localities of Vietnam and 23 countries and territories such as England, India, Algeria, Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Cuba, the Czech Republic, Germany, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya and the Republic of Korea.

Commodities on display are abundant, including machinery, electricity, electronics, food-beverage, housing appliances and health care products.

There will be four outstanding pavilions, including Information Technology Application and Trade Promotion, Vietnam Industry Development, Vietnam - Korea Product Development and Design Support, and Unique Designed Products of Vietnam and Korean Enterprises.

Vietnam Expo 2016 is highlighted by the participation of enterprises whose brands are awarded national brand recognition such as Vietnam Electrical Equipment Joint Stock Company (JSC) – GELEX, Tran Phu Electric Mechanical JSC, Binh Minh Plastics JSC, Duy Tan Plastics JSC, Hanoi Trade Corporation and Hoa Tho Textile – Garment JSC.

This year, the Republic of Belarus is selected as an honoured country at the event, with its long-term friendship with Vietnam.
