Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Tien Duy (1995), is currently the Head of the Maritime Department of Ship 016, Brigade 162, Region 4, Naval Service.
Attending the Army Games for the first time (August 2021), Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Tien Duy and his teammates made an excellent achievement, winning the second prize. He was awarded the Head of maritime industry award by the Organizing Committee.
Nguyen Tien Duy is always aware that to successfully complete all tasks, it is necessary to thoroughly understand and have the right awareness of the unit's political tasks, responsibilities, and duties.
In 2021, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Tien Duy was assigned to participate in the Army Games in Russia. Recalling the journey to conquer the "Sea Cup" at the Army Games 2021, Nguyen Tien Duy said that he and the crew controlled the ship 016-Quang Trung, crossing thousands of nautical miles, passing through the waters of many countries to ensure maritime safety.
This is the first time the Vietnam People's Navy has participated in an international arena. When he was assigned the task, Duy realized that this was a huge challenge, requiring himself and the entire team to try their best. The competitors in the Army Games are all countries with modern navies, having participated in 3 seasons.
However, the achievements of the tank team of the Vietnam People's Army made other teams admire. That has added strength and confidence to Senior Lieutenant Duy and his teammates in the competition.
Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Tien Duy said that to achieve high efficiency in training, the training segment has to be strict and scientific with 5 phases. Each phase is aimed at improving the comprehensive capacity of the team as well as the ability to handle situations in practice and competition.
"Every day after each training session, we draw experiences, organize seminars to find the most optimal competition plan. The requirement for each member in the team is to study and understand the conditions, topographical characteristics, hydrometeorology at the competition area. We need to understand the regulations, conditions, and diagrams of each test to advise, propose plans, and build the most convenient, and accurate route for the ship," said Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Tien Duy.

Nguyen Tien Duy has been honored and rewarded. In 2021, he was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Minister of Defense for his outstanding achievements in participating in the International Army Games 2021.
