Vietnam Promotes National Brand Program, Products Promoted in Germany

Recently, Department of Trade Promotion (Ministry of Industry and Trade) successfully organized an event to promote the Vietnam National Brand Program and products in Germany.

From 2021, the Secretariat of Vietnam National Brand Program under Department of Trade Promotion, Ministry of Industry and Trade has coordinated with Vietnamese embassies, representative agencies, and Vietnam Trade Offices in other countries to implement many communication and promotional activities about the National Brand Program and products labelled National Brand.

These activities are to introduce and promote the Vietnam National Brand Program and products and services that are labelled National Brand to consumers, investors, trade and international import and export partners. Some include the hybrid exhibition “Vietnam National Brand Week 2021” in Singapore about Halal products and processed foods; Cultural Week of different countries organized in the Netherlands; Vietnamese products week at Asian and Dutch supermarkets; publishing news and articles in Diplomat Magazine, on the websites of Dutch agencies and organizations, etc.

On October 5, the Secretariat of the Vietnam National Brand Program coordinated with the Vietnam Trade Office in Germany, the Vietnamese Business Association in Germany, and other partners to organize an activity to propagate and promote the Vietnam National Brand Program and products at Dong Xuan Trade Center in Berlin. The event was to enhance propaganda and promote consumption of National Brand products and services as well as explore trading opportunities with German businesses, especially businesses owned by Vietnamese people.

The event was attended by Chu Tuan Duc, Deputy Ambassador of Vietnam to Germany; Vo Van Long, President of the Vietnamese Business Association in Germany; Dong Thanh Nguyen, Director of Dong Xuan Trade Center; representative of Selgros Supermarket in Lichtenberg district and a few German businesses.

At the event, a video was shown introducing the formation and development of the Vietnam National Brand Program over the past 20 years. Along with that, the representative of the Secretariat of the Vietnam National Brand Program gave a presentation on the values of Vietnam's national brand and the achievements of Vietnamese businesses.

The highlight of the event is the Vietnam National Brand Exhibition with the display of National Brand products, media products introducing the Program as well as trade connection activities expected to bring many positive results.

The introduction and promotion of the National Brand Program and products at Dong Xuan Trade Center not only helps the brands of Vietnamese prestigious and top-quality products be recognized by the Vietnamese community in Germany, but also an opportunity for German businesses to collect information, connect, and get access to the Vietnamese market.

The Vietnam National Brand Program is a specialized, long-term, and specific trade promotion program, approved by the Prime Minister in 2003, assigning the Ministry of Industry and Trade as the presiding and coordinating agency, with the participation of ministries/sectors, localities, industry associations and businesses, with the goal of developing the National Brand through supporting businesses to build and develop strong brands in the economy, to promote the image of Vietnam as a country with quality goods and services, build reputation and enhance competitiveness for Vietnamese businesses in domestic and international markets.
