Accordingly, the cooperation will include exchanging experts in terms of training and consultancy, training occupational safety and health activities for Vietnam, and provide training equipment and technical information for Vietnam.
“From 2015 to 2018, the cooperation will help Vietnam increase occupational safety and health activities, helping towards developing a national standard, thus promoting labourers’ health and safety in the workplace” said Doan Mau Diep, MOLISA Deputy Minister.
There are currently some 52 million labourers in Vietnam. Enterprises and labourers are in need of being trained on occupational safety and health and in the use of advanced equipment. In addition, State management agencies also need training on occupational safety and health management, supervision and inspection.
Lim Yeong Sub, Kosha President, said that the agency is willing to provide experts and experience in occupational safety and health management for Vietnam.
According to MOLISA, the agreement is of vital importance in the context of the Vietnamese bill on occupational safety and health, as for the first time, it is going to be discussed and adopted during the upcoming National Assembly plenary session./.
