Organized by the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA), this forum offers media leaders from Asia and around the globe a platform to exchange knowledge, explore opportunities, and share experiences in tackling the challenges faced by media organizations and companies today.

Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Training Commission of the CPV's Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, and President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, attended the summit. During the event, he delivered a speech and received a WAN-IFRA award in a category where Nhan Dan Newspaper was recognized.

The summit covers a range of topics including digital transformation, adapting and amplifying media brands, audience engagement and growth, financial sustainability, innovation and business models, ethical challenges in journalism, newsroom resource optimization, and best practices for audience expansion and revenue generation.

Media leaders from the region and around the world engaged in high-level discussions on urgent issues facing the media industry and the future direction of the sector, sharing ideas, models, and solutions to build sustainable news organizations.

Delegates received information and participated in discussions on various topics, including business models for a modern media company, finding the right balance between subscription, advertising, and commercial revenue, essential strategies for building a profitable media business, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the news industry.

In addition, delegates discussed ways to produce journalism that increases readership, challenges in delivering quality journalism under cost pressures, best practices for leveraging AI to generate revenue and enhance journalism, creating a culture of innovation, the impact of digital transformation and AI on media technology, new ideas and trends in digital advertising to address declining overall revenue, and how the "User Needs" content strategy has transformed news organizations.

A speech by Le Quoc Minh on building a newsroom that constantly innovates attracted particular attention from the delegates.

Within the framework of the summit, WAN-IFRA presented the Asian Media Awards (AMA) in various categories. A total of 251 entries from 42 media organizations competed in this intense contest. The awards celebrated outstanding achievements by news organizations in front-page design, photography, and infographics.

Participating for the first time, the 70th Anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory campaign by Nhan Dan Newspaper was awarded the Gold prize by WAN-IFRA in the Best in Newspaper Marketing category. This campaign, carried out over six months, included three main components: a special Dien Bien Phu webpage (dienbienphu.nhandan.vn), an interactive panorama supplement in the May 7, 2024 issue, and two interactive exhibitions on the Dien Bien Phu Campaign held in Hanoi and Dien Bien Phu.
