Phan Anh Son said that Vietnam - South Africa established diplomatic relations in 1993, yet the two countries' relations started long before that. In recent years, Vietnam - South Africa relations have developed in many fields, such as economics, trade, and technology. The two sides have ample rooms for cooperation in tourism, cultural exchange, art, and education. education, and mining.

VUFO has coordinated with the Vietnam - Africa Friendship and Cooperation Association (VAFCA) and the South African Embassy to Vietnam to organize diverse activities, including celebrating the anniversary of the two countries' relations and holidays, friendly meetings, conferences, trips for South African delegates in Vietnamese localities.

VUFO hopes Humile Mashatile will facilitate and stimulate South African agencies and organizations to pay more attention to strengthening friendly relations with Vietnam; establish a South Africa - Vietnam friendship group, and introduce partners to VUFO and VAFCA.
