Journalist Oliveira emphasized that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's participation in the G20 Summit demonstrates Vietnam's commitment to multilateral forums amid the current global situation, where developing countries are striving to foster solidarity and cooperation to ensure growth based on respect for national sovereignty and to contribute to building a more equitable world. Taking place as the two countries celebrate the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 16th year of the Comprehensive Partnership, the visit is expected to elevate Vietnam-Brazil relations to new heights.

A highlight of this visit will be Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh unveiling a commemorative plaque honoring President Ho Chi Minh in Rio de Janeiro, where he lived for six months during his journey in 1912 to seek a path for Vietnam's liberation. Journalist Oliveira, who has spent years studying and writing about President Ho Chi Minh, stressed that this event holds great significance in honoring the Vietnamese national hero and further strengthens the bond between the peoples of the two countries.

On this occasion, Vietnamese Ambassador to Brazil Bui Van Nghi remarked that Vietnam-Brazil relations are flourishing, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to the G20 Summit and bilateral activities in Rio de Janeiro symbolized Vietnam's strong support for Brazil and the political determination of both nations' leaders to soon elevate their Comprehensive Partnership to a higher level.

Established in 2007, the Comprehensive Partnership between Vietnam and Brazil has deepened bilateral cooperation across all fields, encompassing party diplomacy, state diplomacy, parliamentary diplomacy, and people-to-people exchanges.

The friendship and cooperation between the two countries have been strengthened through the complementarity of their economies, shared interests, and deep connections between their peoples. The Prime Minister's visit reflects the determination of both nations to solidify the political foundation of their relationship, enhance mutual trust and understanding, and coordinate effectively on regional and international issues.

The visit also offers an opportunity for both countries to foster closer cooperation, particularly in areas of mutual strength, such as agriculture, science and technology, energy transition, and bioenergy. It also paves the way for expanding collaboration in other areas of mutual interest, such as culture, sports, tourism, and education.

Brazil serves as a gateway for Vietnam to expand into the Latin American market, while Vietnam is a strategic bridge for Brazilian enterprises to access ASEAN and Asian markets. Strengthening cooperation with Brazil and the region is crucial, especially in advancing negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Southern Common Market (Mercosur), the world's fifth-largest economic bloc.
