The forum, themed "Policies and Approaches to Ensure Mutually Beneficial Commercial Relations," featured prominent attendees including Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper, ambassadors from other countries, and business leaders from both nations. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and former US Trade Representative Michael Froman participated via videoconference.

Jointly organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Hanoi, the summit marked Prime Minister Chinh's third consecutive attendance. In his address, Chinh emphasized that Vietnam's foreign policy toward the US dates back to 1946, when President Ho Chi Minh sent a letter to President Harry Truman expressing a desire to establish full diplomatic relations.

PM Pham Minh Chinh noted that the Vietnam-US diplomatic relationship has flourished over nearly 30 years, evolving into a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. This progress is attributed to the efforts of leaders and citizens of both countries, as well as contributions from their businesses.

He underscored the importance of time, intellect, and decisiveness for investment and business success, urging enterprises to collaborate in investment and business activities, address global issues, and strengthen the bilateral relationship.
