Vietnamese and Chinese Public Security Ministries increase cooperation
The Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security on September 25th held an official reception and talks with a delegation from the Chinese Ministry of Public Security led by Minister Guo Shengkun, who is on a visit to Vietnam.

During the talks, Senior Lieutenant-General To Lam, Politburo member and Vietnamese Public Security Minister, congratulated the Chinese people as well the country’s Public Security Ministry on great achievements during the national construction, making important contribution to reinforcing national security, social order and safety.
According to Ministers To Lam and Guo Shengkun, over the past years, the cooperation between the two countries in general and the two ministries in particular has been continuously developed, bringing practical results in cooperation. They shared the desire that the cooperation relationship between the two countries would be developed more strongly in the future, contributing to increasing the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations.
After the talks, the two ministers signed a memorandum of understanding about the results of the talks, and worked out cooperation orientations until 2018.
Accordingly, the two ministries will continue to exchange delegations in security and law enforcement; increase the sharing of information and experience; and cooperate to defeat any schemes of hostile and reactionary forces.
In addition, the two sides pledged to increase cooperation in the struggle against trans-national organised crime, especially terrorism, cyber-crime, human trafficking and drug crime./.
