Authorized by Laotian President, on May 12^th, the Deputy Governor of Laos’ Luang Prabang province, Saysamone Khomthavong presented the Lao Friendship Order and Medal, a precious award from the Lao State for 6 collectives in the northern province of Son La.

Accordingly, the provincial People’s Committee, the provincial Department of Education and Training, the provincial Department of External Relations, the Northwest University, the Son La College and the Son La Medical College received the noble title for their achievements in assisting Laos’ education and training by supporting the building of facilities, schools and classrooms as well as training personnel with hundreds of graduates and trainees in Son La province.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Deputy Governor Saysamone Khomthavong thanked the province for Son La Province’s assistance in training Lao cadres, recognizing that the cadres trained in the province proved their quality in working.

Cam Ngoc Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Son La provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee showed his honour to receive the noble award, and thanked Lao authorities and people for their sentiment for the cadres and people in Son La province.

He stressed that the awards continued to recognize the assistance from Son La province in education and training while showing the special solidary and comprehensive relations between the two countries in general and between Son La and Luang Prabang provinces in particular./.
