N.P.L is one of the six nCoV-hit patients at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases to be declared free of the novel virus Monday morning.
L tested positive for nCoV during her quarantine time at the Center for Security and Defense Studies, Ha Noi National University. She had earlier repatriated Vietnam from New Jersey, the US, on May 16 and was sent straight to the quarantine zone upon the arrival.
“I’m very lucky and happy to be repatriated to Vietnam because, you know, as an oversea student, I really wanted to return home country when the pandemic broke out”, the patient told Dan Tri.
The positive test results came as a surprise to her back then, as she was asymptomatic. Therefore, L said she was very worried on those first days at the quarantine zone.
“My worries, however, disappeared quickly thanks to the attentive care from the doctors and medical staff”, she said.
“Plus, I’m very grateful for not having to pay a penny for the treatment fees. It’d have cost me a fortune if I were in the US”.
