Vietnamese student gets full PhD scholarships from 8 leading universities in US
(VNF) - Nguyen Thi Sao Ly (born 1993) has become the pride of Vietnam and especially her hometown Da Nang by receiving full PhD scholarships from eight prestigious US universities, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Besides MIT, Cornell University, University of California (San Diego), John Hopkins University, University of Chicago, Rice University, University of Texas Southwestern and Baylor University are willing to offer full PhD scholarship to Ly.

Since she was a secondary school student, Ly had already been a well-known prizes and awards achievers in her city. The 1993-born's list of merits include: First Prize of Da Nang city English language contest, Young Leaders Program Scholarship by Trinity college (Melbourne University), Top 2 graduates of King Academy Sunnyvale, US.
Last June, Ly graduated in top 5% of her batch at the University of California in Los Angeles (Biology & Evolution study).
Currently, Sao Ly has made up her mind to further her study at Johns Hopkins University (field of research: Cell bio-chemistry and Molecules). The university has topped among others for several consecutive years in the US and among top five universities in the world.
