Two Vietnamese students namely Tran Bich Nga and Hoang Minh Anh together with 98 students from 60 countries in the world will be "young ambassadors" for France's World Expo 2025 bid.

Former WTO General Director Pascal Lamy, who was appointed by French President Emmanuel Macron as the interministerial delegate in charge of the French bid to host the 2025 World Expo, on December 18 said in a press conference that, after more than a week of training in France, the two Vietnamese students accompanied him on a visit to Vietnam.

This is his second visit to Vietnam in 2017 with the aim of calling for Vietnam's support of the French bid to host the 2025 World Expo.

He also said that France has completed its candidature preparation since 2012 with the theme "Sharing our Knowledge, Caring for Our Planet". France hopes to become a place where every culture, every knowledge creation and every project would be able to display and contribute to preparing for the future.

As a person who witnessed the moment when Vietnam jointed WTO 10 years ago, Mr. Pascal Lamy affirmed, "Over the last years, Vietnam has actively participated in the World Expos on Water and Environment Protection. These themes are also similar to the theme that we run for the 2025 event. We hope to receive the support of Vietnam."

World Expo is an international events aimed at educating the people, sharing creativity, promoting the advancement and encouraging cooperation.

World Expos are hosted in a chosen country with the participation of many countries, cities, businesses, organizations and people all over the world./.
