Vietnam’s National Day celebrated in Greece
Nearly 400 Greek guests celebrated the 71st National Day of Vietnam (September 2nd) during a ceremony held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece on September 12th.

During the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Greece Tran Thi Ha Phuong reviewed the great achievements Vietnamese people have gained over the past 71 years, stressing that Vietnam always heightened peace, national independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and showing her pride that Vietnam had passed every challenge of the country.
According to Ambassador Phuong, political stability and open economic policies have attracted foreign investors. For the international community, Vietnam has become a good friend, a trusted partner and an active member, making contribution to maintaining peace, stability and development in the world.
“Vietnam calls on all countries to respect and obey principles agreed on by international relations and international laws, by which Vietnam believes that peace, stability, trust, promotion for development and friendship among countries will be ensured,” she added.
Confirming that the Vietnamese Government and people attach great importance to reinforcing solidarity and friendship with the Greek Government and people, she went on to say that she hoped the relations between the two countries would further develop in the future, creating favourable conditions for expanding political, cultural, economic, commercial and tourism relations.
On this occasion, a wide range of Greek inpiduals and organizations, as well as overseas Vietnamese in Greece, sent letters and flowers of congratulation to the embassy./.
