An international fair specializing on shrimp technology (VietShrimp) will be held from June 24th to 26th in Bac Lieu province.

The event aims to present achievements, opportunities and threats to Vietnam’s shrimp industry; promote the image of Vietnamese shrimp on the world market; distribute new and qualified aquaculture products and create connections and opportunities for business development.

It is expected to attract the attendance of 200 domestic and foreign businesses, with more than 150 booths.

On the sidelines, VietShrimp 2016 will have workshops on different topics related to the shrimp industry and a photo exhibition with more than 100 selected photos reflecting the working life of fishermen in Vietnam, as well as some typical domestic shrimp production models.

The organizers said that the fair is a forum for thousands of shrimp breeders in Bac Lieu and the Mekong Delta in particular, as well as those nationwide, to join together to find effective production directions and sustainable development for the coming time./.
