Vitality in Central Highlands rural areas
With care from the Party and State, over the past years, the rural and remote areas in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai have undergone remarkable improvements, with consistent increases in residents’ living standard.
Thousands of kilometres of roads, hundreds of water supply projects, school and medical station systems and cultural houses have been built, helping 100% of the communes have roads, 100% of communes have medical stations, over 90% of families have access to the national power grid, and 80% of families have safe water to use. A majority of children of school age go to school.

The province has completed the target on housing support for the poor. Over the past 4 years alone, 11,000 poor families have been provided with housing support and loans for production.

The effective implementation of programs and projects for ethnic minorities has helped to promote local sustainable socio-economic development. Over the past 5 years, the average per capita income has reached VND34.85 million per year, an increase of 2.5 times compared to 2009, contributing to reducing the poverty rate by 3-4% annually.
