Do Huu Lam, Long An Provincial Party Committee Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, said that this was a large project among 645 foreign projects invested in the locality.

Under the project, the green environment technological zone will treat common waste, both non-hazardous and hazardous waste, electronic waste, medical waste and drainage mud from Long An Province and Ho Chi Minh City, and in time, the whole southern key economic region.

As planned, the zone will be invested to receive and treat 40,000 tons of waste each day.
