Winners of national press contest on anti-corruption to be announced
(VNF) – Winners of the National Press Awards on the Fight and Prevention of Corruption and Wastefulness 2017 will be announced on January 2, 2018.
The press contest on the fight and prevention of corruption and wastefulness 2017 was jointly launched by The Vietnam Journalists’ Association (VJA), and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on January 4, 2017.
The contest aims to emphasize the role of the press in anti-corruption and wastefulness movement.

It is open for both professional and amateur Vietnamese journalists in Vietnam and abroad, with each author/group of authors can submit a maximum of 5 press works. The works should be published on Vietnamese media between January 1 and November 30, 2017.
The contest’s organizing board has so far received 1,126 journalism entries from various news and media outlets nationwide.
By now, the judge panel has finalized the result of the contest, shortlisting 32 best entries, which will be awarded with 2 first prizes, 7 second prizes, 10 third prizes and 13 consolation prizes.
“These press awards are part of the efforts to advocate and realize the Party resolutions on fighting corruption and wastefulness, as well as morality degradation among Party members," said Ho Quang Loi, Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Journalist Association.
The awarding ceremony will be held on January 2, 2018 in Hanoi./.
